Her career includes leadership positions at the ACLU of New Mexico, congressional offices for New Mexico's second district representatives, and statewide and local campaigns. She has directed policy initiatives, managed district operations, coordinated field programs, and built coalitions across diverse stakeholder groups. Prickly Pear Strategies was founded to provide nonprofits, campaigns, and advocacy organizations with strategic consulting grounded in experience, integrity, and commitment to community impact.

Nayomi Valdez is a New Mexico-based strategist specializing in policy advocacy, campaign management, and organizational development. With experience spanning community organizing, legislative affairs, and political campaigns, she brings a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to achieve results in New Mexico's unique political landscape.
